Need inspiration to help students develop rich topics for their visual study or major works of art? Be inspired by works of art in the collection in this workshop led by artists and educators and learn alternative ways to develop your students’ ability to analyse and interpret.

Framed around the SACE Performance Standards this session will address topics such as:

  • How to use the Gallery for research and inspiration
  • Critical analysis & unpacking written information
  • Arts language
  • Divergent thinking & developing a personal aesthetic
  • Visual thinking and problem-solving processes

During the second half of the day educators will have an opportunity to examine student examples of the Visual Study and discuss different approaches to this assessment type.
