Start at the Gallery: Memory Montage

Made in a moment, lasting a lifetime if you’re lucky - marvel at the magic and mystery of memory!

Join us for Start in July as we explore William Kentridge's exhibition That which we do not remember, in a free family day of fun featuring a diverse program of art making, music, performances and special guided tours. Put your talents on display by entering your own collage artwork in the 2019 Start Art Prize for junior art stars!

Parent / carer supervision is required.

Snip and layer elements to create a unique and evocative collage inspired by William Kentridge. Enter your creation in the Start Art Prize for exhibition at the August Start event! Meet in the Radford Auditorium.

Storytelling performances

Enter the magical, colourful pop-up storyland of Evelyn Roth’s Nylon Zoo, and be carried away on the tail of a tale by master storyteller Greg Wood. Meet in the Sculpture Courtyard Lawn.

Enjoy the sweet sounds of three fantastic young female musicians.
Ella & Sienna are singing and twanging sisters from the Adelaide Hills, delivering acoustic covers of pop, rock and country hits. Hannah Yates is a powerful young Aboriginal singer-songwriter crafting beautiful original folk and soul. Meet in the Sculpture Courtyard Tent.
